Gibralter is an overcrowded mix of old houses with narrow streets near the rock and massive modern apartments blocks near the water on reclaimed land. In addition thousands of people come across the border everyday to work from impoverished southern Spain.
Interesting place, lovely to visit for a few days but I do not see the attraction to live there.
We took the bus to the other side of the rock, the non-city side with plans to walk around to the point – Europa Point. BUT the road went into a tunnel and no pedestrians allowed, so you can not walk around the Rock of Gibralter. Well will have to go up instead.
Next – Up The ROCK
