Day started clear and fresh, a change from yesterday ! After a lovely breakfast we caught the number 442 bus to Lago de Brias. A lovely scenic ride.
We got off at the last stop and walked around the lake. We were early in the morning and there was a definite chill in the air, but were glad to have started early as the tour buses started arriving. The path was well formed but icy and mushy in places, ups and downs but very scenic. Took about an hour. Very enjoyable with all the changing views.
At the end of the walk we enjoyed a coffee, choc and cake on the hotel deck. Glad we were early as the crowds started to arrive.
As the return bus was every hour we decided to go back on the route number one. Took about an hour to reach the next village. Part of the walk on paths, part on farm tracks and forestry roads. Beautiful trees with lots of moss and soft ground, some patches of snow. At the village we caught the bus back to Villabassa.
We would highly recommend this walk. The bus service is good, the walk amassing and a good spot to have a coffee and collect the good vibes.
