Visiting the Hofberg Palace in Innsbruck

After a good breakfast we wandered towards town, caught the bus number 3, then walked the short distance to the Hofburg Palace.

The Palace is more an art gallery or museum than an architectural exhibit.  We enjoyed looking at the massive paintings and ceilings.

Glittering artifacts

The furniture had been arranged as it had been in Maria Theresa’s day.  Interesting.  Also the carpet was alarmed.  If you stepped off, the alarm went off – clever.
