We were catching the bus to Narvick, a 4hr bus ride. We had heard that the bus is usually full so we were there, in the front of the queue at 9.30am, half an hour before leaving. Yes the bus was full, as Aby lined up to buy tickets from the driver, no prebooking this is a bus, Dee managed the luggage and we got front row seats. Very important if you want a good ride on a long distance bus.
We travelled up valleys, over mountains, through the snow and overtook lots of tracked military vehicles. As we neared Narvick we saw this bridge being built, another of the great string of road construction projects.
The bus ride was great, the bus of high quality, toilets and reasonable space, the driver skilled and the roads good. We stopped once for a snack, toilet and a driver change and on we went.
