I dont know how many of you know but I had great troubles with booking a ‘barge and bike’ tour that got cancelled twice. So we ended up on a river boat on the Rhone. I searched by price and this was the cheapest !!!!!! So we took the train back to Lyon, a tram to the river and there was our boat waiting for us. We had the cheapest cabins, but as there are only 2 decks makes little difference to us. The boat was about a third full, and we were the only English speakers as it is a French company. So plenty of space for all of us.
Here are a few pictures of the boat. It was cheap also because this was their least recently refurbished. We felt very much at home and people did not dress for dinner.
All included, breakfast, lunch, dinner, cappuccinos and selected alcoholic beverages !
