Our first sight of Sweden was from the air as we flew into Copenhagen. It was flat and yellow. After landing in Copenhagen we caught a train under and over the sea to Sweden then travelled north up the coast to Goteborg.
To us rural Australians the country side is so different. (we sound like country bumpkins too)
- So green
- So many wind turbines
- All the land is used
- The farms start right next to the forest
- The farms are small
- People live in farmhouses on their farms
- Just so European !
We do not have many pictures as the train was going FAST and we were visually overloaded.
As we went northwards we saw intense green farms in the south, glimpses of the sea and forests. As we got further north the land got rougher and the trees bigger.
We travelled all the way up the coast to Goteborg where we stayed for the night, then continued on to Oslo in Norway. A while later we took a long train ride down the east coast to Stockholm and back to Copenhagen.
Sweden a shock – as our first European country it was a shock – so different and so civilised.
Next – Goteborg – a Swedish City
