Short tour of Kirkeness in Norway

We travelled on a Hurtigruten coastal ferry all the up the Norwegian coast. At Kirkeness we took a short tour while the ship restocked. The town was interesting and we learnt some interesting things – in particular how much the town suffered during occupation and WW2. First we went to the Russian border, just to have a look.

Then off to visit an interesting, locally constructed, air raid shelter.
