The Sagrada Familia is Gaudi’s great unfinished church. It has all the elements of a gothic heap, but all the Gaudi’s modernist style. Can only be described as weird or wacky. It is still being built and thus considered a construction site. He did not have any architectural plans so it is being completed by quesswork !
These first pictures are of the outside – WTF says Aby when she first sees it. Then pictures as we went up one of the many towers. Up by lift, down by steps. Glad to have gone up, but just not as exciting as a Gothic or medieval tower
Now for the inside
Inside the church is so light and bright with shining smooth floors that reflect the stained glass windows and light – playing games with colours.
Next – Off to Monserrat
