Boulders beach is near Simonstown on the False Bay, east coast. This is the only mainland breeding colony of the African Penguin. Jackass Penguin

Mainland colonies likely became possible only in recent times due to the reduction of predator numbers, although the Betty’s Bay colony has been attacked by leopards.[15][16] The only other mainland colony is in Namibia, but it is not known when it was established”
