The day started hot and steamy and got more so. We started with a breakfast at the hostel, dull compared to Switzerland and Germany. Then a walk down to the lake shore where we strolled and had a tiramisu and panecotta for second breakfast. We purchased ferry tickets and crossed the lake to Bellagio where we walked around, a rather expensive place – all they seemed to sell was leather goods and silk. Our ferry tickets were for a day of travel so we stayed on the ferry and watched the view for a while. This was a well run car and people ferry, cars off, people off, cars on, people on. Lovely ride but hot and the seats not designed for long journeys .
After our ferry trip on Lake Como we ended back at Menaggio where we had a late lunch at a lakeside café and watched, ducks, swans and people.
A hot day turned into a hot night, the clouds were building. This picture is taken out of our hostel window.
