We flew from Cape Town to Johannesburg in South Africa. Aby and Dee were picked up from the aiport and taken to the hotel from where the tour would start that evening with a meeting.
Our tour was fully catered, with a cook and driver, but we had to put up our own tents and help load the vehicle, a converted small truck. Unfortunately too small for the number of people and the hot weather.
We left Johannesburg in the morning and travelled west into Botswana. The first night was spent rough camping near the road. Lovely dusk.
We camped for the night in the middle of nowhere – very beautiful.
Next day we continued on to Ghanzi, a San settlement
