Longyearbyen has no crime. No dole payments, no health services beyond basic, and everyone who is there is there because they want to be in that place. Snowmobiles everywhere, as the normal part of life. Guns all over the place, as a normal part of life, but not allowed into the bank or the shopping centres. Shoes off is a residual behaviour from when 3/4 of the population was coal miners, which kept the floors clean of coal dust. The snow visibly melted through the week, midnight sun gives amazing energy.
