Hotel Rose was a short walk from the station and ideally situated to walk to the bus stop, town centre and countryside walks.
Hotel Rose was very pleasant and traditional. Many inter-leading and added on areas and passageways. Our room was lovely with pale wood furniture and a balcony overlooking the yard and river. We decided to eat at the hotel on the first night as many of the other places were closed on a Sunday. The meal was so good we ate there every night and were excited every time by the wonderful food.
