Exploring the Village of Villabassa/Niederdorf

Villabassa is a small town in the Dolomite region of Italy. It is predominantly an agricultural area. It is popular with cyclists, hikers and outdoor enthusiast and has a reasonable number of places to stay. We visited in spring when the area was a bit quiet.

Villabassa – would we go there again. Definitely, here or any of the other small towns in the area. Just watch out for all the shops closing between 12 and 3pm. In the town are small food shops, a few clothing shops, cafes, bakery etc.
