The first part of the ride was a bit hilly, rolling fields of grapes, stone fruits and mixed farming.
Terrible uphill to Asolo, a village on top of a hill. Very interesting with great views. Had a coffee at the Castello della Regina Cornaro [link] then off down the hill – zoom.
Become flatter with bigger fields and more grain. Spent a long time riding next to a fast flowing canal, then across country, some parts a bit boring. Farming, but mixed in between and adjacent to the fields were lots of flowers. Saw regular steeples and little chapels and shrines next to the road.
After settling into our hotel we too a taxi into the center of town
