Clanwilliam and the Northern Cederberg

From St Helena Bay we drove to Veldrif where we crossed the Berg River and headed north then west to Clanwilliam.

Stayed at a lovely cottage near the edge of the main town with flowering citrus trees and tortoises in the garden.

Took a drive up the Pakhius Pass to look at rocks and flowers

Ate out locally

Back to Durbanville. Countryside green and rivers flowing well.  Clanwillian dam sluice gates open.  Stopped at Strassberger shoes and bought 4 pairs, still the same set up but some nice new leather colours.

Stopped at a roadside shop near Citrus dal to stock up an ‘padkos’

Lovely scenic drive back south but heard that the weather has been bad and western Cape and damage at De Kelders

Next – Trip to De Kelders and unable to leave !
