Drove up the west coast to St Helena Bay which has really changed since I was last there in the early 1980s where it was a surfers and fishing dump. Now full of white painted holidays houses and old industrial stuff being demolished.
One of St Helena’s beaches
From here we we drove along the estuary of the Berg River, an area well known for its dried fish ‘bokkoms”
From St Helena Bay we drove to Veldrif where we crossed the Berg River and headed north then west to Clanwilliam.
