Our group now split apart – those that had to go back to work and those that did not !! Super early – about 4am, the bus left Broken Hill. A very comfy bus too with a charismatic driver. At this time there was a glut of kangaroos and a real problem for driving at dusk and dawn. The driver said that he saw over 800, eight hundred, driving to Broken Hill. So the passengers where warned that there will be lots of heavy braking.
We stopped regularly for loo and food, and saw a spot of outback life – maybe I should call this bus ride ‘the budget outback tour’ ???
