We drove from Twyfelfontein south west to arrive at Brandburg before the sun went down. Here we camped in the sand next to a dry river bed. Although a pleasant place with all the basic facilities you need, it is still a very sandy camp. The mountains are beautiful, and stunning as the sun sets, but it is mostly a place to visit to a see a view and move on unless you are a climber !
The Brandburg is a granite-gneiss massif and the highest mountain in Namibia. It is named after the red colour it glows at sunset.
