That happened quickly, and we are still in lock-down.

Up The ROCK of Gibralter
The rock is big and steep, Ashara had a slight idea about steps….. So we set off to the cable car station, thinking about long queues etc. No problem, no queue and straight into the little car. It was a beautiful morning and a great day.
The ride up was scary with great views of Europe and Africa.
Once on top we walked on roads, paths, steps and rocks. We bought a ticket that included the cable car and the nature reserve which meant we could go anywhere and nearly everywhere on one ticket.
Having wandered all over the place, up and down, in and out, the weather deteriated. There was thunder and lightning, hmmm – cable car down in the lightning – we are not sure about this. Had a coffee at the top cable station and waited. Eventually was provided with a ticket for a bus down.
This was an adventure – bus could not get around the corners and had to reverse – all a bit scary with the terrible drops !

Across Spain to Gibraltar
I don’t think Gibraltar is part of the EU, being part of UK ?? Well they do use pounds but drive on the wrong side of the road.
Train, bus, walk across border, taxi and we are there. Gibraltar is very VERY busy, massive numbers of motors bikes, cycles and electric scooters. Lots of new expensive apartment blocks going up. I have no idea what is going on with the economic development. I gather that bunkering, on-line gambling and some thing else are the main sources of income

A sight-seeing trip on the Chobe River in Botswana
Early in the morning we boarded our flat bottomed riover-boat and set off along the Chobe River.
The next morning we set off for an animal watching trip on the Chobe River.
The river is wide and deep and flows through arid countryside. One side is Botswana and the other is Namibia
Local fisherman on the Namibian side We were about to do a U-turn in the river when on the Botswana side a large herd of elephants ran over the hill – what brialiant timing !
Camp piggies Wow what an experience – highly recommended, but dont go on a sunset/boose cruise
