Zurich to Diavolezza Berghouse

We flew from Singapore to Zurich and arrived on time, early in the morning, after a 13.5hr flight. After a long night flight the day is often a bit of a right off and best spent on leisurely travel. So we leisurely travelled from one side of Switzerland to the other. From low elevation to high elevation.

Approximate route of a train ride

Our first train was a tram from one terminal to another at Zurich.

We bought a cross country ticket, and being Switzerland you get a good print-out of the route with all the times, platforms and train details.

Here is a series of pictures as we went along. As we got higher and higher the snow got thicker and thicker and the trains smaller !

Change at Pontressina Station

We got off the train at Bernina Diavolezza with a great crowd of skiers and joined them the the cable-bus up the mountain to the Diavolezza Berghouse, where we were staying for the next three nights.

What fantastic views as we climbed up

Wow, how exciting that was !
