The Art of Lists

A21-001 – The art of Lists

While all this planning is going on in the back of your mind should be a whole pile of lists being created !  Instead of leaving in your mind, and generally cluttering it up, start writing a list from the first time you start to think.  I usually get a A4 firm covered lined book (one that can tear pages out of is nice) and write down all sorts of things as I go along.  Here are some of the page titles that I uses.  Obviously depends a little on the type of trip !

  • Toiletries to pack
  • Gifts to pack
  • Things would like to di
  • Eletronics to pack
  • Shopping to do before trip
  • Shopping while away to bring home
  • Things to do at each destinations
  • Thanigs to take pictures of
  • and the lists go on !

No need to worry about the order, this is just a place to write things down as they pop into your head or you read something interested.

Depending on the type of trip this planning may go one about 3 months before hand, but for some trips it may be as much as a year.  If what you want to do is season, often accommodation has to be organised waaaay in advance.  This of festivals like the Edinburgh tattoo or an animal migration
