We went to Norway as it was a stepping stone to Svalbard, but definitely worthy of a visit all by itself. We travelled in spring which is a great time to visit a country which has a fierce spring enthusiasm, particularly with the plants, to get going. We travelled by boat, train, bus and air.
To start we took the train from Goteborg in Sweden to Oslo then Bergen. Here we got a coastal ferry to Tromso where Aby flew to Svalbard. Dee continued north on the ferry to the top of Norway and back again to Tromso. Aby flew back to Tromso, then we were on the bus to Narvick and the overnight train to Stockholm.
Quite an adventure !
