When we travelled to Lord Howe there was only one flight a day, and this was in a 36 seater Dash 8. It is only a two hour flight so the minimalism was just fine. I am sure there was more room than some long distance flights.

Lord Howe Island is in the middle of nowhere and just pops up out of the ocean. Balls Pyramid is the remnant of another volcanoes, and immense sea-stack jutting out of the ocean. We could just see it under the planes wing as we came towards land. We were picked up at the airport and taken for a short island tour them dropped off at our accommodation. Oceanview Apartments
