Review of our trip to Namibia in 2002

For this review first I will discuss Namibia then the tour*

Namibia is a vast, empty country with a low population and limited infrastructure. There are only two feasible ways to visit, either as part of a tour or self drive. Self drives becomes rather expensive as the distances are so big, a lot of time is spent on the road, it is not a place to rush.

We chose a tour, but a basic one, as we did not have enough time to self-drive nor a car. We chose this tour because it went to most of the places we wanted to go to and especially spent more than one night at some places. An extra benefit – no cooking. [this tour company is no longer operating]

Namibia is a fantastic place for scenery and animals, a short trip does not do it justice. We would love to go back – either self drive or a similar tour*

The tour company is not longer running, so no review. But I will say that they had an excellent route and staff.
