Most of the hotels in Sorrento are at the top of the cliff, probably all the hotels are up there except Hotel Il Faro. There is a harbour and it may have been a sailor or travellers rest at some stage.
Now you can see the big hotels on the top of the cliff !
We enjoyed staying at Hotel Il Faro. Very clean hotel, lovely bright blue and white décor. Our room, large, opening windows with a sea and cliff view.
