Woke to a strangely quiet and snowy morning. I think unexpected by all of us. A slight change of plan, no cycling today ! we were picked up by minibus and driven to Cortina. Snowed the whole way and many drivers had no idea what to do. We had to stop once to get the snow off the wipers, it was so thick the wipers could not move it (it had slid off the roof) It was a long snowy drive. Okay for the first part but then we caught up the queue and the snow plough we just crawled along. We were fine looking at the scenery but the driver was very frustrated. We saw no mountains of the Dolomites.
It was very scenic, but not what we expected ! It was still snowing when we went to bed !
