Our next cathedral was much more to our taste. In particular interesting as it was still being cleaned and plenty of the centuries of grime (candle smoke) was on the walls, ceiling and pillars. Also they had the big doors open and the sun streamed in – very welcoming.
Very much a local church, and comfy feeling.
The floor was the original worn smooth paving stones and some very interesting paintings, I have only shown one, but there were about 20 all showing traditional religion as being in a modern setting.
