Up very early, 5.00am taxi to Virtu ferry terminal, checked in at 5.30am and left at about 7am. Rode on the new Pope John-Paul. Enormous and still smells of fresh paint.
Basically uneventful, had front row seats. Saw both Sicily and Malta at the same time. Ferry rolls and splashes but minor considering the sea.
At Podsollo got on a bus and arrived in Catania Port where we coffee’ed and then took a taxi to the airport to pick up car.
