I joined a Rabbies Tour to the Lewis and Harris Islands. The islands appeared a little too far to self drive. Rabbis do small group tours to more out of the way places. The cost does not include food and accommodation so you can stay at the cheapest places! We met our group and driver at Inverness bus station and set off pretty smartly for Ullapool where the ferry leaves from. 10 in the group. One couple, rest singles and travelling companions. Went on the ferry as foot passengers while our driver waited in line with the van.
Much bigger ferry than anticipated. Two hour ride with lovely views and hardly any swell, which rather goes against my ideas if the Hebrides. But the cables attaching the chairs to the floor was a sign,
We arrived in Stornaway and after a quick visit to the museum set off exploring
